Festival address

The Notorious IBE takes place at various outdoor and indoor locations in the city center of Heerlen.

The festival ticket and information desk is located at: Bongerd, Heerlen.

Festival area

Access for people with disabilities

All festival locations are accessible to persons with disabilities. Please notify the Ticket Desk Staff or Security upon festival entry in case assistance is needed to access festival locations or areas.

Age limits

All ages are welcome. Children ages 4 and under are free to enter.
It is advised to bring noise canceling devices such as earplugs or headphones for young children.

Alcohol

It is not permitted to bring your own alcoholic beverages to The Notorious IBE. For those of you over 18, there are bar areas serving alcohol on the festival site. Due to Dutch alcohol laws you are not allowed to take or consume alcoholic drinks outside of these areas.

Following the Dutch Alcohol Licensing and Catering Act it is forbidden to sell alcohol to persons under 18 years. Bar personnel has the right to ask for I.D. to anybody that is clearly not looking to be 18 years and over.

 

Animals

Animals are not permitted at the festival locations. Please leave your pets at home.

ATM cash machines / bank

Please check the festival map for the locations of Banks and ATM’s.

Cameras / filming

Photographing and filming for publication in professional context or broadcasting purposes is not allowed without authorization from the festival. For press accreditation please contact: organisation@thenotoriousibe.com

No authorization is needed when photographing and filming for private use.

Camping

Each year more and more festival visitors put up their tent a the “Hitjes Vijver” camping. More info here

Dress fresh

First and foremost at IBE we like our visitors to dress “fresh”, look your best and honor the “fashion” aspect of hip hop culture in every possible way. Also don’t be afraid to freshen up during the day by spraying deodorant.
Please be aware to bring suitable clothing and try to bring a jacket or sweater in case of rain.

Ear plugs / noise canceling devices

It is advised to bring noise canceling devices such as earplugs or headphones for young children.

Fires

It is not permitted to light fires or barbecues.

First aid

Location first aid teams: TBA.

Food and drinks

You may not bring your own food and drinks into the festival site. There will be bar areas at the festival that sell both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Food Trucks at the Food Court offer a variety of meals and snacks (including vegan).

It’s important to drink plenty of water during the day especially if it’s warm. It’s also easy to miss putting some real food in your stomach when you’re busy running around dancing and enjoying the vibe and good music, so please, don’t forget to drink and eat regularly throughout the day.

Line up / program / timetable

The line-up and program times are subject to change.  Always check for the latest version of the timetable online. At IBE printed timetables are available at the ticket desk.

Lost and found – where to find missing stuff ?

There will be a Lost & Found at the IBE Ticket Desk. You can return any lost items directly there and visit to inquire after your missing items. Please only give items you find to the IBE TICKET DESK directly. Do not hand over items to random staff or security guards.

Security

Security will be positioned at the entrances of all festival locations. Follow their instructions when asked to. The security are there for you protection and to help you if you should need it.

Selling merchandise & advertising

It is not permitted to sell goods or merchandise without prior agreement. For a vendors booth please contact organisation@thenotoriousibe.com
It is not permitted to put up posters, handout flyers and/or advertise on festival site without prior permission.

Timetable

Festival timetables can be found here on the website and will also be handed out at the festival ticket desk.

Toilets

Flushable sink toilets can be found at the indoor locations of the festival. Portable toilets will be placed on the Bongerd. The locations of toilets are indicated on the festival map.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are not allowed at the festival.

Vegetarian / vegan food

At the IBE foodcourt there are food trucks that serve vegetarian and vegan food.

Festival invitation letters

The period for requesting an IBE invitation letter starts on March 1st, 2025 until July 12th, 2025.

What is not allowed in the venue(s)?

  • NO Aerosol Products, Aerosol Cans, Coolers, Drones or Remote Control Aircraft, Cars or Toys
  • NO Hard Drugs, Fireworks, Explosives or Road Flares
  • NO Flyers, Samples, Giveaways or Promotional Items
  • NO Guns, Ammunition, Tasers, Pepper Spray, Mace, Knives, Weapons
  • NO Sharp Objects, Laser Pointers, Metal, Steel or Aluminum water bottles
  • NO Hoverboards, Segways, Kites or Sky Lanterns
  • NO Outside Food, Beverage,  Pets or Other Animals

Traveling to and from heerlen

Where is Heerlen located?
The city of Heerlen is located in Limburg, the most southern province in The Netherlands. Limburg is one of the most touristic regions in the country.

– Amsterdam (hol) by car 224 km.
– Antwerpen (bel) by car 126 km.
– Brussels (bel) by car 130 km.
– Aachen (ger) by car 23 km.
– Frankfurt (ger) by car 280 km
– Paris (fra) by car 422 km

Airports:
Holland: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, Maastricht
Germany: Dusseldorf International, Cologne, Dortmund, Frankfurt
Belgium: Brussels

Where to stay?
Tourist cities like Maastricht and Valkenburg are full of hotels, hostels, cheap Bed & Breakfast houses and campings. Heerlen is directly linked by public transport to cities like Hoensbroek, Brunssum, Landgraaf and Kerkrade where you can find hotels, Airbnb’s and campings.

The german city of Aachen, just across the border is the biggest city in the region. Aachen is also a stop for hi-speed trains like the ICE and the Eurostar to France.

Tickets / pre sale / door sale prices

Everything you need to know about purchasing tickets can be found here on the ticket section on the website.
The IBE tickets are sold in phases. The earlier you buy, the cheaper your ticket will be. Please note: No ticket refunds after August 1st, 2024

– Early Bird Sale ends on March 1st, 2024
– First Round Ticket Sale starts on March 1st, 2024
– Second Round Ticket Sale starts on May 1st, 2024
– Late Ticket sale starts on July 1st, 2025
– Ticket Door Sale is available throughout the IBE weekend 16,17,18 August, 2024

Tickets / wristbands / free entrance locations

Outdoor locations like the food court, hip hop- and sneaker market, Capital Stage are free of charge.
For the indoor festival locations and the main tents you will need a festival wristband to enter.

  • Friday August 16, 2024: Some locations are free. Indoor locations + main tents require entry with ticket
  • Saturday August 17, 2024: Some locations are free. Indoor locations + main tents require entry with ticket
  • Sunday August 18, 2024: Some locations are free. Indoor locations + main tents require entry with ticket

You must exchange your E-ticket for a wristband at the Ticket Desk located at the Pancratiusplein before you can enter the festival locations

  • Your festival wristband must be worn at all times.
  • All attendees are subject to search upon entry.
  • Ins and outs will be allowed.

Entering the festival location without a valid ticket or wristband

Anyone found at the indoor festival locations and the main tents without a valid ticket or wristband will be removed from the festival.

Refunds

Please note: No ticket refunds after August 1st, 2024.
