In 2023, the Heerlen-based hip hop organization Kool Cult launched a special project for young and talented Breakers in the Heerlen region. Collaborating with three local Breakdance crews—HFC, Rawthentic, and Stardust—Kool Kult established the Breaking Games. This series of events combines the art of dancing in the cyphers and competing in breaking battles and invites young B-Boys and B-Girls under 18 to participate. At IBE Breaking Games is presented as international edition welcoming young talent from all over the world into the cypher.
